End the Mommy Wars

Decribe your idea

End the Mommy Wars by ensuring technology, systems and social process used by mothers are grounded in the 21st C. Allow women to admire rather than fight others choices by ensuring all options are grounded in success. Enable a village in our fragmented society. Create micro care communities among socially connected families - team of nannies, families and children, forming a collective safety net - affordability for families, security of income for providers, socialization for children. Connect with downstream commerce. Mothering tools for the 21st C. My daughter gets to participate in different social circles and gets the feeling she is part of a larger community - I come home with such peace of mind, it's truly liberating!"

Why do you want to share your idea with TEDxUChicago in 2013?

TEDXUCHICAGO will in an amazing way both benefit from a paradigm shifting perspective on this culture war… and ideate aspects of our peace plan

The US and Euro Zone has achieved gender equality in education, the same goal is currently well funded in developing economies.

But only 35% of top tier female graduates work full time nine years after graduation – mostly due to the core Mommy War issue “who takes care of the kids”

The costs of war is wasted resources. The Mommy Wars… waste women’s/societal resources because the choice to stay home with kids is due to a lack of good enough alternatives. Gender equality in education cannot translate to gender equality in leadership until the Mommy Wars end.

How will you share your idea in a creative way?

A video game of mothers, children, nannies and societal institution for whom players can choose different work life balance solutions, and different Mommy War implications. One option the Nanny-Flex.com peace plan showing how technology, processes and social systems rerelease the psychic energy of mothers, how they used that energy for good, and how the children and care providers benefitted along the way. Different Moms, different work life balance co-operating so each mother felt successful while also admiring the different but also successful choices of the other. Our data based video presentation: The cost of war....... What is the real cost of the Mommy Wars and the cultural War on Women.

Parenting has always been a subjective task and while we try to make objective decisions and choices about family welfare we still come back to our subjective state. Here, finally, is a formal method where we can get out of our own heads and use the best of technology to share in a structured generous way all our resources for best family care. Finally a tool set that lets every different type of Mom network with every other different type of Mom all for the greater good of all children. Why wouldn't we all want to drive support to a program that truly sets up a foundation of equal opportunity for all children.
